Lounge. We are hanging out here in the basement, lounge, which is a couchand a microphone in my mom's basement and we're here with the first guest onthis new show, and it's her first time sitting on any pod cast with me. Hefirst time we're getting to know each other. It is the funny and lovely Jodmcdermin hehow are you hi Jodi has o go and Nware yougood good to have yo onthanks for having me, we we met. Recently. We met at the first round of the wilist fireworks competition here,wo w're on the same night, that was a fun Nigt you that was a really funnight M. I I feel like I didn't, I didn't go expecting to win.I feel like I won, because I went and showed up andI made some people laugh right. You know I that that's the big thing thatyou know, that's the big payoff I I am so happy for the people that won and Iyou know just going to wileys, Um and being around so many people who have. II I feel like it's it's night classes on Sunday nights, because I'm learningso much from everybody about comedy- and I you know I'm so happ the peoplewho won and and were in the finals, just it was so deserving, but it was. It was just fun to be thereand it's. You know, I think, Co and I'm sure you know y you're, Muc you're aseason, comedian, Ri'm real new to the game, but it's like comedy's, very subjective, and when Igot into it I thought well. Do People do people just think, I'm funny, because they know me and they know the dysfunctional Sitcom. That is my lifeor is it people who don't know me thatwill laugh at my jokes and go in there? The first time I mean it's kind of ahigh. When you, you know, you think, okay, I've written this joke. I you KNW. I've played all the living rooms and Lima and they think I'm funny becausethey know me m but to for to get up an and just bear your soul on stage topeople that don't know you and have them laugh. That is quite the feeling.Oh it's I I it's unreal. I I got my first taste of it at sixteen and it wasjust you know: People S, you should try th you trid thing N and at sixteen I'mlike they say, I'm go ahead and I must be Um. I got spoiled in that. My first showever actually went well. I had to learn how to bomb later but T it is it's a high like I'm, notI'm, not an adrennaline jokie, but when people talk about a runners high, Ifeel like I get it. Yeah yeah totally 'cause, I you know, and it's and I'm IM, I'm very late to the game. You know like I'm. I could be your mother Ur. You are nowyou're now my mom's newfavorite FA COMIC E...

...wh. When Jode came into the House Wee,we were my mom. My mom was at the firus competition and she she's been ravingabout you since that night she thought you were great andnat, sweet but Joesays to my mom Ol. You don't look gold enough to be his mom s like thank you, Um Yeah, so you're, my mom's, sorry, itwas Jesse nut. Sorry, Jesse, haw He' been replaced, Wel, sorry, Jessie Sso.We can bind over our UTRS, as so you say: You're new to the game.First of I wel S, I wouldn't say you're late to the game. I don't think there'sreally. It's not like if there's no likethere's a set wagers righter, but you know it's like I well. Okay, I'm closerto death than birth. Okokay, we'll put it that way. O medical technologys goonwwell. You know just saying I'll be fifty in December, so you knowthe statistically I'm closer to death t you know not to make it dark, but Iam M, but you know I, like I said you know my friends. I've I've always hadkind of a warped sense of humor M. I of course I think, I'm funny, but and myfriends, my friends, take me long for comedic relief and you know Um, but lathe way. The Way I got started was my husband is a firefighter Oh, a yeah. Solast, actually it was a year ago this month, um my my best friend M in ourrelationship O and you'll. Learn. Let me lit me, take a time out. I have nosegways in my conversation, you'll notice that we'll hop around like we'reon a Pugli stick, you know. Kmy Job is a realy, easier G and I back up a lie. 'CAUSE, you feel.I feel like you need another back story: Oothe, what's going on but m somebodyYouknowthship, the we we are. I've got the bandit on the back of my head, likeMarcellas, and you know it's going to be all good Um. My best friend I am a someday person and she's likewe're doing this next Tuesday at four o'clock, so Um over a couple of glassesof wine. Last year she said m. You know what we're going to put together afundraiser for the ladyes auxiliary and you're, going to get up and do stand up.Oh Liokay, whatever sure this, and so then like the next week, she's like allright. We've got this on the schedule. You're going to do some sand up and Ithought o jet so M. I got to open, they did get acomedian. I don't know if you're familiar with Saldamellio knothe okay,so I got to open for him. Oh yes, and so I actually did. I did twenty minutesof jokes and when I met him he's like O. Haveyou done this before and I said Nope. This is my first night and he was likeOh that's great and then after I we were all done for the night hewas likeyou know, I was really expecting a train wreck, but it wasn't bad so youknow so there was that, and so it was. You know it s kind of exciting to hearsomebody who is an actual comedian say: Hey, you didn't do so bad um and then,a few months ago H we had another fire departm. Everyyear the Lima Fire Department does a a community fonnaraser where they have.Oh they've got a silent auction they've got H. Fifty fifty drives what they do.They they raise money for all the community, um the causes, and then they take all ofthe money and they they divy it up, um toward the need inour community, and so they decided to do stand up and there's m there's acomedian named Steve Lynde. I think his first name is Steve But um. I got toopen for him and he's been on comedy central and so met him and you know, got some Nice H, feedback from him and so um, but back to last year see this is whereI do the sugway Um. I read this book called Year of Yes by Shanda, rhimesand Dotknowshin, I'm familiar withyeah, so she this book, I and I wouldrecommend it to anybody. It's a great book. It's the basically. The story isUm. You know, as she came up and and got more recognized she she had all ofthese great invitations to do things, but she was a single mother and she shealways turned it down and her sister. You know she was telling her sister, hey ih've', been invited to do this and go here and her sister said well, butyou always say no and she thought about that, and shesaid: okay, anything that comes my way for the next year. I'm going to do itanything that's out of my my box, anything that's out of my comfer zone. There you go, and so I thought you know this is just it's just such a greatread, and I thought you know what I'm going to put myself out there alittle bit, because I h you know, I'm I'm a little self conscious. I thinkyou know when you, when you can use...

...laughter as a shield. You know it's, Ithink it's it's a defense mechanism. kind of I mean it's, it's fun to makepeople laugh, but it also you know: KINDOF takes the pressure off of Ou ofyou, but on the opposite side of that it is a little terrifying to be up on astage with a microphone and everybody. Looking A it's very vulnerable and Um, it's it's terrifying and public spee. Ipublic speaking, is very hard for me because I feel, like you know, yourtongue grows twelve sizes and y. You trip over it and it's it's hard Um and I I find myself Um relying a lot onthe note cars. I need to learn to put them down. Oh, I kn W, but it's acrutch, and so I that's one of the thing you know I've been I've only beendoing open mikes since Um January was my first one Oho and so Um. You know I'm doing baby steps, but it'sit's really fun. I love writing. Jokes. I love Um. It's it's just really fun. When, whenyou did the firewors competition was that your first time at Wiley's? No, no,I no! I bought all th all of the Open Mikes I've done have been at Wiley's.Oh Wow, yeah see I I always if itjust comes up a lot, especially on this showUm. where, when I started it was yo w downSouth South Carolina. There were no comedy clubs. There weren't even really o therewasn't a comedy scene at all. You know it was. I would go to a coffee shop andsay hey. I do stand up. I Wan to put on a show here. They look at me like I'mhig and I would just go, find people to do it and over time, like now thecomedy seems pretty booming. But again there was no comedy clubs there. Sowhen I got up here and heard that there's a Co, a comedy club that does alocals night on Sundays, I I put it up on this massive pedestal, and sowhenever I hear people go yeah, my first time was it wileyis. I kindo getin this air of like how. How dare you Dar well and I'll, tell you ho, becauseI thought all right. You know what, if I'm going to try this again, then I need to find some place to goand Jo. You know I just gave it agoo and it's like were we're open, nikesaround around me because Lima, we just I I I'm hoping that there's there'sgoing to be there will be more opportunities, an Lima for me Um. I am gonna. I've got something going on thisweekend in town M, but H, you know so I was just great to have. It was awesometo have an opportunity to to get there, so it was just you know, just doing some research Um than findingmine, an Wiley's and then being given the chance and Um. I get it it's it's one of those like YW when we move down south having the beach there, all the time you suddenlyafter a while you're like ohe'r, going to the beach again, who cares 'causeyou're there all the time, so when Giv yo well a's been great living near thebeach and almost like it cages you a little bit, and so so,when there's people up here who have that access regularly, I can get white. It doesn't seem lake big a deal to them. For me, though, it was just one ofthose yeah how lucky you are yeah, but I J I wish um I'm hoping that some, because we thereis there's some come, there's some comedyaround Lyma and I'm I'm going to try to dig it out. Yeah I am GOINTA. Gomygonto go biggor that Mo I'm going to try Goin to try. So, but it's you know,we've got some funny people in town we just had. We've got a coffee shop. Themeeting place on market str, what it's col an it's called M meting place onmarket. I love that Somyet and it's and you'd love everything about it. GreatCoffee. The owners are great. I belong to a writers group and we meet there onWednesdays yeah, it's really fun, but they opened it up and we had a um anopen Mike night and then Um they let me headline so it was really fun a yeah.So so it was, it was good. We had some good people came out. You had lingsceted seven instead of five M. I did no. I did like twenty. Did you really wow lot of dysfunction happening in this?Might so you know you D can't make it up. We talk youtalk about you know whenyou're up there, D and you're holding the microphone- and you know C ou canbring a Bo. Tel People say that time, travel's not possible, they've, neverdone public speaking, because five minutes can either go on for ever orGann, be over in breath. Do you find Thouh that you that you can't remember what happenedbetween the time that they say come into? The stage is Mike Chay nthenyou're, like thanks, I'm Mike Shay by...

...and then it's like. What did I say upthere, nothing Ivn. I was just that. Wilehe was on Sunday Ain norecollection of what went out asn't't crazy, it's insane. I don't get when Ifinally got the video from fireworks. I was like I remember doing that. I knowI know we know I don'tember talking to that lady, but I did N and you wereawesome. I loved, I loved all your jokes and they were so good. Thank you. They were good. I I took I took 'cause. I wrote two sets. I was like 'caus. This is my first time doing this competition. I usually do competitions'cause, I'm a chicken shit and H. I was like on to rigt two sets one for roundone and then I'll write a whole. I have a whole new set for when, for when Iget up it, the finals 'cause, I'm totally get tomake w. It did not L K the set that I was going to do forthe finals. I took the wilys on Sunday Shit. I wad it didn't make it to thefinals like it was stuff that I've done before, but it was just like all right this. This combination dhedn't work all rigt. What, but you know what it's like I, but I somebody on facebook said you know Ididn't I didn't win, I I and you can cut this out. Um was Micewele and he I do too. He asarcons, my favorite Communye game. I love all of you. I really do micel Anhesaid he's like oh well. You know I didn't I I forget what the comment wasbut he's like. I, you know I didn't win. I I gotto try to do better. We all won because we got laughs, youknow so we won by getting up on the stage like like Y. Anybody who goes upon that stage for fireworks. I feel like and puts in fifty percent energyis going to have a great night ecause. It's such a room built for laughing everyone who's. There wants tolaugh their asses of and it's Fi. I mean it was really fun. I just wantedto go for the experience even just sitting in the back with the othercomins, and you know, 'cause. We all got pushed to the back against the walland 'cause Yo Nogot groom for them. It was a hundred and it was erom waspacked. It was, I know they said that a the night yo when I went up was was themost Dhay. It had. The whole t e whole weekend were. The second show on Saturday had like a hundred and twentyreservationsonelike sixhow many was it like. Seventy of HEM were dusty yeayh.I love dusty Siyeah, I think ews. It was one of those wher. When he went upit was like he got to go up there because he got half the room in here tocome with him. He was funny a shit but ow, but it Wasman like hen, theyre, L E,they picked, they said micewells Tony Fox Werthy, duszy harve. I was likeyeah. No, that makes sense. I get it. Those Tony Wasthey were all MA yeah. They were awesome and I I didn't go to any of any of the other shows, and Iwish I had I wishe I had't been able to, but from what I hear our night was thebest. I'm just saying: Well, well, look we were there wellcan all be acoincidence. That's right! So you are you'v been spending, so you spend a lotof time at Wiley's. I try to I li yeah I'd like to go moreand just you know, wal more comedians and watch and yeah. I think it's youknow. I I've been to a fair Amonti comedy clubs. Now an just just haveafter moving up here between Ou know, Gobananas and Cincinnati D. There's thefunny bone here in Dayton, theres there's jokers over inannapolis there's. I forget the name of the one in Chicago, but I I have such a good time at Wlles. You know it's close, I'm glad, but thatthat's my favorite date with you know my husband takes me out somewhere he'slike hey. What do you want to do? Let's go find some. Let's go find a comedyclub. I have always I've loved standup comedy since why do you say that myfriend Chelsie and her husband are are living in town just for Bri th they'rein the proces of moving to Michigana d they'restaying here in town for a fewweeks, and we they were at the show this past Sunday at Wiley's and theywere saying yeah any time. We've got a date. T night we're always going tocomedy shows, and I was just kindo like 'cause it's so I meanit's fun to go andlaugh. You know, especially if it's something that you know it's relatableto whatever Ryou know, it's just fun to just have a few drinks and just laugh'cause. You know, Oh yeah t the world out. It's it's one of those thingswhere cause you know, I'm so used to going to open mikes andeverybody being there Beng a comic or somebody who s with one of the comicsso to find out it's it's still. Even after after fourteen years, shocks methat there's people who enjoy going to comedy clubs just forthe comedy not cause they're Goin to support Somebodyyo, go YH and I', I'malways thrilled and shocked. To hear that you can't don't take away the laughter you gotta,I mean you have to have that that'. That is a guaranteed good time. So,whatever I hear whenever I've put shows tha to other venues like O wodn't Ealydo comedy her. I'm like! Oh, so you hate happiness. EXAC! A you hate joy!Is that what it I every time you deny...

...comedy a puppy dine a, I know, don'tkill the puppies seriously guys tr ever for every show. You do not book. Weshall Stran. No, I'm not going to say that so wis, not that kind of a Baseati. No,even though there's Seventis woodpaneling on the walls, all rightand H, yeah anyway, Um Al Right, so your particular style is very much you W and I say that you're not in yourhead, like no shit Y, is see a lot of New People. You knowevery time you do a wily Sunday, there's always at least one person, that's brandstinking new, and you can always tell when they're trying tomimic somebody when they're trying to follow a formula they that they read inin Judy Gold's, comedy Bible or something like that. Um. You, however, from what I've seen I've seen you once, but just from that one five minute setit's very genuinely you yeah wheredoes. Where does that? Where does thatinspiration come from where oes? Where does where does it all come from inside?Well, that is Jodi write, a joke T. I loo asked jodes jokes Jonies Juye. Ilook at what's happening in my life Um. You know for exfor example Um. I H I'm in the beautiful beautiful part ofmy life right now that Iam a I'm more sweaty than I've ever been in my life, because my hormods are changing abeautiful menopause, and so you knowlike H. Well, here's here's a joke that I wasjust just writing Um, you know and, and it's tru the thing about all of all ofmy jokes are they are true. I I haven't really made anything up. I came homefrom work the other night and my husbandwas like hey. I bought you apresent and I went upstairs to our bedroom and he bought a box fan to gounder our air conditioning unit because he knows when Momas cold, daddy's happyand you know so he's like Hey, I'm going to crank this up to eleven andI'll, be back in five minutes and h. You know 'cause, it's like that's!That's what my life is right now, but you know it's just life is messy, but it's funny YoKnoit's funny! You know 'cause, if you, if you can't laugh at your life you'regoing to cry about it. Nd you're talking to a guy to say five minutes ofjokes about how single an and not well in Dowt. He is so you're l talking to captain acup overhere, so ou n W, I'm telling you you know same same blood type and bro size, pctor secret, it's Ay negative! So but it's optimistic 'cause, they'rehalf full! So you know there you go and if you can't laugh about thatexactly there you go so Yodon't. Listen all CO, anseen we're all insecure aboutshit, but but you know what it's: It is free therapy. You know, because you getto tell all your stuff and it's and everybody laughs about it, becauseeverybody's got something you know and it and you know it, it might be mymessy little corner of the world. That's mine right, you know, and, and Iand people can laugh about it 'cause. You know, like I said you life's messyand you have to laugh about it because it's funny, you know it's it's it's a round! Blue Sitcom! It's likeyou, know, gode made this world and he's like. Let's just watch whathappend TSHLL, we fix that! No! No, no wait! NOWAIT! Hang on that's when the kid goes to stick of Pannin the light socket andyou're like no. No, this could be a teachable Mo. It is it's always ateachable moment. So how long have you? Your husband, been married? It'll betwenty: six years in November, hell UOF youraid of the happiest years of hisLovno. We UH yeah it'll, be twenty six years. So wt make you you know. Marriage is likea boat on the ocean m. You know. Sometimes it's smooth sailing andsometimes it's real choppy and then sometimes you want to take the or andbeat him in the head. So but it's all good, you know Shno. He had to work. Hehad to work, but you know it's like hyeahhe was saving lives. Now, that'sEA 'cause! That's what they do. You know running around with bunker pantson just pe and Kittens etteratly do Onderou what they do all the time youow how's. He how's. He with the whole stand up thing. You know, he's he's o no he's. Okay with the IAH,the the big thing. Honestly, the the the thing that I was worried about whenm. When my friend was like hey you're, going to do it for the ladies Auxillaryou're Gonta, I I don't want to embarrass him. You know I do enough ofthat in daily line, but but you ow, I...

...didn't. I didn't want to. I didn't wantto embarrass him in front of his his colleagues and he's he's an Italianchief at the fire O wow. You know he h, I just didn't. I didn't want toembarrass Hem Um. I will embarrass myself. However, I didn't want to yeah whatever, and so you know andpeople I you know, I talk about Um. I talk aboutmy marriage to talk about my kids, but you know I. I don't really. I don't say things toto put him down Um, but you know I think he thank Y. Well, no, I'm not just want to keep Daddy Ha, but let any one one have everdated noteslike you understand your fair game, so you'R you're N, the tailor swift ofcomedy 'cause you'll write a jek about it. Apparently yeah. You are the secondperson to make that joke about me. I was doing a show F, the funny bone afew weeks ago for the humane society, with a gouple of folks, fron L A and wewere on the Fox forty five morning show and now the datinplay call saidMorningshow I worked there. I have poll whatever wor and They'e brought me onand they were askng me. You know, like you know stuff. I talk about and I talkabout how, like I've been single for so long that now, if I get a girlfriend,my comedy career is over and and Chris Christin Cornet, who was the AngrInterviewe and she was like o Yo like to Taes it o comedy, and I was likesure I guess t's just because she said don't Piss me offor I'll rite a Silem R. my best friend is like the biggest tailor swift fan,so I always have to like every time she gets excited about something Taylor.Swift does I have to be kind of going like that's so great? Well, I willtreal a for you. I I did. I saw her in concert with my daughter a few yearsago and she does put on a really good concert. My my mom and dad just when Iwas in college, went and saw her and said it was lpremaze. I will say youknow I'm not in the tailorsoach fan club, but you know she. She Ha ot.IFTINGBUT H, no sh, it's a pretty good concert, yeah. She ad pretty good. II've never once said the girl's, not talented, no, not myme, neitheriimmediatelyer Meel yeahyae right, so um you're, you're, you'R you're younginto into into the stand up world. Do you have any idea of like I, you know ccomics like the set goals for themselves, whether het be long term orshort term? Do you have any anything in mind as far as some kind of goal you'retrying to hit, or you just feeling still feeling it out? I I think it's really fun Um. I any opportunity that I have had that people havecontacted me and said: Hey. You know, we've got ten minutes here. We if youwant to come, I will take it just because I um I I think it's fun and Ithink it's a great compliment. When somebody contacts you and says hey, youknow Herja um. You know why don't why? Don't you come here and D um? Even Ihad a couple of people that Um instant messaged me after the fireworkscompetition and said: Hey, you don't know me, but I heard you and I thoughtyou were funny and the greatest thing in the world. YouKnow Hat's, why have one fan excited and Um, but yo? That's that's prettyawesome. That makes you feel really good because you think Oh gosh, youknow Oh yea, I at Ybrityo real wn me didn't even pay you enough, igotrelated to you. You know so, but yeah. So I mean anyanytime that somebody has said Hey. You know I I one of my friends asked meShewas, like hey Um, I'm involved in this cancer survivor fundraiser. Willyou come and do some comedy like well yeah? Well, suree, 'cause yeah, so I uh that and then m our my church is reallyactive. I don't do you guys have family promise here in your churches. Have youheard about that progrm? Have you hard not heard of them? Okay,so Manim we've got a we've got an organization called family promise, anso homeless, families Um they can get into this program and ifthey're trying to get housing they they can stay with churches who are in thein the network for a week at a time before they they find their housing andUm. So they did a fundraiser, and one of myfriends is involved in that and she 's like hey. Do you want to come and dojokes with the family prime stinner which, as at a church, and so I'm likewell sure well and well? How much do you cost? I'm like donate? My time youknow I don'tyou know so the you know so things like that. I IAM happy to donatemy time. It's like! Well, you know...

...sometimes, but you gotto be carefulB'cause, you get what you pay for and I might be horrible. So we don't knowyou know Sido to Efore wellluckily. You know so t I I've been lucky that it'syou know it's. I've had some great opportunities to do. Stand up an youknow. It's Beenit's been pretty well received. So far Um, so you know I it it's just really really fun and sureI think it would be. I I would love to Um. I would love to to have more of apresence and have some more more bookings, and butit's you know it's just so much fun to get get a spit at wileys and go there Oon Saturday or Sunday nights, and so you know I'm trying to find some otherplaces around Um. You know within a couple of hour drive and get around, and it's just really fun and it's it's fun to meet other people and just youknow, like I said I feel like when I go to a comedy club. It's like a nightclass. You know 'cause, you can. You can learn from other people and justwatch th, the timine and the and their mannerisms, and- and I like the Um wetalked before you know, I'm a the Stereotypicalah, forty somethingwoman who loves the True Crime M, not because I'm into murder. But I like theI, like the psychology behind the I like to see how all the pieces gotogether and I like to see how how people construct their jokes and I lintto see what's happening, and I, like the the writing aspect of that and theand and I like jokes, that are Um that are kind of smart. You know I likethe smart humor, the the the punny ones, that not a lot of people. You know thatyou think either like maybe four people are going to get it, but they're reallygoing to get it and the rest of the people are like Ain. I just don't getthis at Alland. That's and that's fine, because a lot of the things I writeit's. What I think is funny because you kN W in comedy, you know comedy's, verysubjective. So and it's not you know not. Everybody is going to like all myjokes and that's fine. You know it is, but Iyou know they say you know just Um. You shouldn't write for the audience. You should write for for what you think is funny, and I guess maybe that's whyyou know you said that I'm I'm myself, because I just it's just you're, notyou're, not hat's. The thing is l Ke you're not trying to do a stick, you're,not trying to again. You see a lot of these new guys who and look you'R newyou, don't you don't know, but they're not they're, not being an audience can tell when a joke isnatural, they can tell whet it's honest and that's what they want t hear.is they want to believe the stuff you're telling y? They don't want tohear just telling jokes out of a joke book. Thayran toling, some yucks. Youknow it's and th the ones that people t, especially nowadays the ones everone woto gravitate towards are the ones that are relatable and if they and if itdoesn't sound like what you're saying is honest they're not going to relateto it right, I mean well, I can't get on stage and say. Well, you know I'vegot forty five swipes on tender. Well, the only way I can pick up guys now, asif I'm driving for Aouber come on. You know it's like, let's, let's be realhere, so I couldn't drive for Ruber Te ppull upand they be they canceled their their right. As soon as I pulled up it, theAyou have good music I'd get in the car thher. I appreciate that you couldn't get in my CARAN. My car isEddi biddy. I Don' Ave backsea, I mean do as tely as a four door at backseatesfor show it's tons of front space tons of trunks base.No BAANSEE! That's how you can get you. You Know Ou. I don't know if you havean uber profile, but you can say you can get for in the truck six O thirdsuptide. So you know hey there. Yougoill say what I I spent. I spent a week inChicago or back in April, and ID never been there for like a vacation like Ih'd gone through, there gone to one of the suburbs to visit a friend, but Iwas in downtown Chicago and I was not about to try to drive. Ah Y went you,you know, I parked my car in the gated lot and I ooberd everywhere and it soat oobering around that city was amazing. Hey It cougt two bucks, yes, thre'sthe, there's a driver within thirty seconds of you, no matter whereyou're at and the first time I took one and she did some weird MillenniumFalcon navigating through that city. To get me where inning to go. I was like,I will never survive in this time. You have to close your eyes and hold on. Idon't know how you D, I. If I lived in Chicago, I would not drive six lanesone way and everybody's Shiftedg and T K, no H, you know my hus well, be beingthat my husband's a firefighter every time I see hear the sirens. You knowit's like the maiding call and you look around Ewhat's Havning, but I don'tknow how those fire tracks get through the traffic, no idea meo. That would beawful 'cause. I can't Tal how many times I've seen an ambulance or a firetruck coving, and I look a good boy pull off to the sin. Like you'resuposed Toi and how many Po don't do that and I'm just Kinda like who raisedyou...

...co and also, if you're, thatfirefighter? What do you do? Do you hit? Do you just random and get them out ofthe way? Ayand you, your husband, I'm a wo yeah a homeright now, okay, like the House on fire he'll, be here in five minutes, encourages yeah ybell. I will tell you:Firefighters do make the Best Campfires, I'm sure they can light himself on FAMs, Oh yeah, when Oh yeah, when we e used to go camping H, we had bestcampfires, I'm going Gee in August. I can't wait so excited yeah, it'StoPenzic, that's right! PENZIC, good about that! Oh Man! So penzic is so. This N Organization called the SCASociety for creative anacronism. You don't even remember that Um. You knowthe guys who do like the Civil Warran, ass and stuff, like that. It's likethat, but with pirates and kings and Queens in mediaeval shit. It's two weeks in the mountains, ifPennsylvania and I'm a part of a qitate pirate crew and we dress like piratesand have a campsite and we live like pirates for two weeks, so you going torape in PMA, you know a the first place. Everybody goes we're in a pillage. That's for sure she raited Iromyou can addit that out. So it's cool because our our actualcamsate, so there's campsites and there's like the campgrounds and thenthere's what's called town and that's where there's like vendors people whoare selling instruments, clothing do hickieswhatever there's a whole section of people who do the food tends likethere's a lady who her tent is just. She makes bread bowls and has a variety of foods you can getin the bread, bowls at's, delicious, there's a place from Australia, thotcome and they do just like your regular meat, an potatoes kinds of dinners thatkind of thing, but you can J and it'. It's like it's like a small communeB'cause. It's K, eleven thousand people every year and are you going to go forthe two I go? I go for one week. I don't Hav that KINDOF vacation time tothink itwothat'. That's amazing! It's the best! It's the best and then 'causethe week that I go was called war week, which is another name for a drunkenparty week. 'CAUSE, there's family week, where it's like there's a curfew whenthey encourage they encourage family friendly activities. Warweak is likelook you're adult you're on your own Havdnice somehbit, a crime, and if youdo Dobeso, when you come back with a patch on it's going to be ECAUSE, youdead lose your eye, the scrots quite poss, honestly, you know I've. You knowI've been one other year. I go with a bunch of Friends of minefrom from college and they they go like every year. I go wone again and youknow I've seen people drink themselves to the point where they'e got to gethauled off to a medical. Ten I've seen people there's a guy who was lively, riding around all the camping areas all day everyday, on a UNICYCLE withbagpipes playing the game of th Throne Steam Song, uste e o a aing in Ay. You you have to get a Gopro and justRei Ma. I made a little log of it. The last time I they're they're not superon board with that 'cause, depending on where 'cause onelike they expect you to be like period appropriate. So when you're walkingaround like when I went, I didn't have any of like the tunic or anything towhere to go. Get some. So I'm walking around at a t, shirt and changing.Looking at me, like I'm, I'm Moron it', Lik, look, I gotto go buy Thi, stuff, okay, I'm here to get it I'll change in a minute cut me some slacks. We I hadthe camera. I had the camera on a Selfie. Stick N was walking around andpeople were looking at me like. I was the devil. I was like. Okay, I'm goingto get a couple of quick shots, an I'm going to call it Aday 'cause! I D. Idon't want to tha lunch O, but it's it's it's fun and our camp itself islike it's. It's it's pretty pretty cosy,it's more like glamping than actual camping. So, like we have our tents, but then we have like a dining tent e we' got a bunch of those like big whitecanopies. We have more weddings and we have like gas stoves and and grills andstuff. Under there we have running water on the campsite and yeah. It's great. That's amazing, myour rour captain, my friend Shelsy who's living here with her husbandright now. The one I was talking about earlier, je took a flatbed trailer andbuilt a pirate ship onto the fat bet. Railr that you can live in. It's gotit's it's a campership like a Pirateship, oh my goy. At best, it's sofun. I can't wait that pink tub right there next to Yeuthat pink plastic soublem. All my all my pirate gears in Thereni'm sadyoidnwer. I I I have been asked by so many comics O to do a set on staying Il PAIL. As soon as I cand go up with some fucking pirate jokes, I ve I've thought I've seriouly thoughtabout it. I will one of these days Wa. It would be better if you'd just get upthere with no explanaon Nan just do it. The only reason I don't Mik be betterreason. I don't want to do that as...

...there is a comic in town who does dothat and I don't want to steal O on n going off his stick, but Aran Phillipshe will shol up to a show in a costyoue. The last time I was at Wilis last year.He walked up on stage in a gumby costume, did not acknowledge it onceand it was the funniest thing. I've ever seen. I loved that man so much, and so that'sthe only reason I haven't done that I thought about doing that. I don't wantto think I'm stealing it stick. So, oh my gosh, that's amazing, like Tha, fun, tenas! They said that I could provide...

...documentation or whatever, and thenthey would get back to me after it goes to the commission. So I dress was likeall right. I will I'll take the opportunities as they come andhopefully make some of my own and an it's just really Fu. Have you ever dareating Um? Only if I'm trying to convince myhusband how much I did not spend a target, that's w what you're talkingabout sure those types of things but um when I was in when I was a senior ourclass play was fame and I had one line. I was m a dancer named Marianne and myone line that I had was. I had to walk across the stage and go you can do itMarianne to myself racal to myself so so yourreaction is why I've never been asked to get to do it acting so there youhaveit I've, never seen a fame well, and you should not but m. You know itwas. It was nineteen, Eighty, seven so yeah, so that was just the high schoolversion of that I know you did high school musicall as your high schoolmusical right Yehbut, the beauty of the BEACO. Nobodyever remembers that one. You Nam the beast two thes Comal souns, calm, O too GOTCA,okay, trl! That's what I was thinking n! I'm like I don't know about tat. I'm aWatson in this one too 'cause Wolf, O yeahm. The Bes was the first movie Iever saw in theaters. It was three years old. My Mom tought me to go, seeit so at movies special yeah with all these live action, remakesDisney's doing they're, like eal being the beast, and I'm like why you knowthe first one won one on Academy of Word: INA I made some people might no.This is j solely my opinionnothing original happens anymore. You know, Iknow, and it's so sad because you know it's like the're they're. You know therem yeah the live action remakes of all of let's just leave that alone and watchit over and over for the NASTAGIC value. You know there we need there needs tobe new creativity happening on a pushback on on the nothing new happensanymore, a little bit only because I ain mov like in Disney an what hat's. What I'msaying is like as like a s I go to the Neon, which is the little Indi feuterright around the corner from wilys all the time, um, there's great stuff happening inindependent theater, like independent movies, nobody's going to see th wn wh.Okay, so you know I H, I stock t your DMZ movies, O no really good. I now answer me Tha. Theis Vanishi point. Is that like five Mie, is it only five minutes Lon minuteslong, so the REV? I wanted the rest of the storis five minutes long, so sowhat alog would so? I later university N T E school Igraduate. Am they do a five minute short film festival contest every year, and so that's what I've been doing.

Those for originally is it's a goodexcuse for me to power down in Ha and something so it's only fi monarch istwenty something minutes long. I thougt! I I cut it down to five minutes andsubmited it to the festival 'cause. I I saw the lie or I saw the whole thing onthe yeah inand, then m t cross at the GAM. That's it first, one that one'skind of the monarch is technically a sequal to it to cross the gem's more ofa documentary and that one was kind of a bitter sweet one for me to make, andthen I just bought Ili. I love old black and wit too, and that that's whyI like e monarch, because it's it's the Nar yeah and I C US my favorite toomeof all time is bladerunner and and that's why, like in the opening sceneof that movie, I'm watching Blade runner on TV 'cause. I was watching ita lot while, like you know, doing the voice over stuff and going for the thehard boiled and the sh you know. I I want to do a third one, that's likefuture length and like now that I actually have like a decent crew 'cause. That's the oher thing is w th cross the gym an monarch. All me, I did all thefilming all the editing, all the writing, all the directing all theacting and it was just like I don't let do this see well Herei' I'll, throwthis out there to you because y? U You saw how great it was at my monologue ifyou need like a dead body to lay in a chalk mark, I'm your girl, because I'mtriple threat. I can't I can't sing candyouts, but I could lay there. Andicould play dad the Ou make it funny too yeah you'd find way to make it. I cando that so yeah. Well, I e see this is the first e I've had somebody on theshow who, like I'm Goin Na Struke, my own eagle a little bit here. Someonewho's like been a fan of my ship for two weeks and I'm just like Er. I don't I don't take compliments.Well, maybe that's the depression. I don't know it' it's hard for me too, but I youknow it's like when I I like Um, I I like to be around creative peopleand when I you know 'cause, I think. Did you friend me onFacebok O before I friended you, I got home from fireworks and addedeverybody wholright 'cause. There were a few people that friended me too, andthen I friended some other people and I'm like O, but you know T it's. I think it's. I consider it an honorwhen p like com when the other com, the comics, have friend in meonfacebook. That makes me feel good inand. So then you know you start toschool. Through people's pages- and then I you know, I saw that you had thepodcast and I I listened to it, and I thought, Oh God. This is because I youknow W N, we talked about this. I you know I liked T I', listen to alldifferent kind of podcasts, and in this I just I really like the way that youhold a conversation you know and and you're in you're, an interesting person.I mean look at all the stuff that you've done. I mean that's prettyamazing. Hebe, look at you, you're a wife with two kids and You'e decidedone day. You know I gotta thing. I really want to do. I'm GOINGTA GO, doit well, so many people they get like th Y,they turn thirty and they just stop giving a shit. They stopped trying newthings. They stay there, like I'm past T I' past the point of adventure. Well, but you know it's like when you okay. This is this. Is the MikeinMotherhood Pot casswe're on we are on like NPR. This is the Mike Motherhood, bondcast Um. You know you as a as a female which you cannot relate o Bothim, but you know you go from being somebody's daughter to then somebody'swife and then somebody's mother, and then you know my kids. Now I've got one our oldest just graduated from collegeand our youngest just graduated from high school. And so then it's like allright. Well, I am trying to figure out who I am again, because you know it'slike all right. Well, you know nobody needs me to pack their lunch anymore D.nobody needs me to help him do their homework. I you know I make a kickassValentine's box nobody's going to need me to do that anymore. Er. You know, but m. You know. So it's like all right. So now I can get back to findingfinding the things that I'm interested in doing, and you know- and I not thatI couldn't do that when my kids were younger, but you knowthat there's so much that goes into parenthood. You gotta, you know for O:U Go Oswell Yeah, so the Thi! You know you, you kindof not put yourself onwhole, but you know the other. Things are more important because you know you sports and school activities and things, and so now that they don't need me Um. Then there are some things that I cando for myself. You know, and it's n Wellt' to get back to that. You everthink that maybe part of that might be almost might be. Generational, like youknow, do you think that maybe th', like you know in the last, in the lasttwenty thirty years, things have changed so much as far as I think theway Peo approach their lives like nowas.

I then people are trying to they'retrying to do that. What do they want to do thing? A lot younger nowadays thanthey do well? I can't speak to that because Iwe didn't have our kids till I was twenty nine. When I had my kids and youknow, I was doing all the things because I didn't want children'sservices to take them away from me. So you have to be a responsible parent, but Um, you know so I I was an older mother m. You know myfriends Um, you know my I've got some firefighter wife, friends that I runaround with and jokingly. You know there are four of us and I say I'm theSamanta only because I'm the old one but um you know so it's like I um. You know it's just a different, my life,I'm in a different chapter of my life. Now you knowbecause it's like you know, okay, so the child, the the hands on childraising is done. So you know they're not that I'm washing my hands of thembecause you know I live in hotel, California, 'cause th y. They can check at any time they like, but theycan ne they're, not leaving right now, they're staying at home, so you know, but you know so, I'm in the fun part of parenting right now, because they'rethey're, my adult children and for have e good time to so you know, being able to be a littlemore hands off. Right now gives me some free time, and so that's you know. I'vebeen involved in this writing group in Lima Um for a couple of years and it'sreally fun. We've got um the dean of Arts and Sciences, a one of ourcolleges thetr started this group when he took his job and Um. He cultivated this writing community andwe've got people from all gosh all ages, all all jobs, all demographics and weall come together once a week and it is j S. it's so much funding just go andjust be in that in that environment and cultivate your creativity and and that that's why I think it's sogreat. What you do is to Wri, I think, it'd be so great to you, know, writemovies and see it. You know O see. You know that that's like you're, you knowit's like your baby on the on the on the streen. You know and you want anaward apparentlypeercs to my Cha Tsyeah. It it and lthe thing I like most aboutbeing in the creative space. Is I e just as the people I've gotten to meet?I have made some of the bet some of my best friends in the world throughcomedy and through film making Um the young lady whos picture is hangingon the wall right. There erran had a wopping, maybe twenty seconds of screentime in my film, but she's she's been acting in in Inthe, dating communityfor R fucking ever and she, but she's become one of my favorite people in thein the world, because I had her on screen for twenty seconds. She came Birto my house, shot five lines of Dialogu, and that was it, but the people I'vegotten to meet and like, like the crew that I had on the film granted, we werefriends before we did the film but getting to work on something togetherand see it come to life. You know having Andrew Venly in the film and andfor him to win an award in the film something w e e. It was just like wemet, he hosted a charity show I did. I was like you're a good looking and and can readlines well, you want to come fall face first in the mud and get attacked byyour demon, daughter and your dream, and just o Tuesday yeah. It was Graeverybod everybody came to my house on a Saturday night at five PM. We didn'tleave till one o'clock in the morning datedly I stayed they didn't leave atone o'clock in the morning. That's the thing t a people, the dealer Isabuabout film making is like. Oh the movie. The thing was five minutes yeah. Thatwas like two weeks of s to get five minutes wow. But no it's that's why Ilike it's like being the greetof space, though S I G, I get to meet interestingin fun. Peoples you feel like they understand. You know what the the the beautiful thing an the terriblething about being creative is because it's l Ke, oh my God, I've got to dothis and then you hate it while it's happening, but then you love it. Whileit's happening and it's just that's, you have to do it and it's just it'samazing. When it happens- and you know, and even if you're only writingsomething for yourself, you know it's like. Oh I I wrote this and it's justit's a d. So good, that's that's W. whenever I try to show people 'cause,I've talked people about it were they're like you now, don't you doesn'tit make you crazy when doing everything yourself and I'm like well, if you putmy fil monarh connect to vanishing point in monarch is a film where I did everything, and there are times whereyou can tell by the end of the film I was getting lazy 'cause. I didn't careanymore. I wanted it to be over with and done as opposed to vanishing pointwhere all I did was right and direct and that's like a just, don't all know.WIT's like I mean I did the editing too, but other people acted, other peopledid props. Other people did the...

...shooting and the camera angles, and Iwas able to just step back and focus on the things I wanted to focus on and it made me feel it made me hate ita lot less by the time it was done. I had more fun doing it, so that's socool Yeu, thatis, so cool. How have we turned this around to being an talkabout me, we're supposed to be talking about conversation o conversational, but so yeah, so it's it's yeah beingbeing being being Youe Talki about being in a writing group at I'm notgoing to make fun of you but NTHERE's. There's a film. I work at a t V station,so we get those syndicated crappy be movies all the time and we got one fora few years ago. Called Authors, anonymous Cott Calekuoko, like a early days ofBig Bang Theory Dennis Verena, is in this for some reason, Terry Poosn forsome reason, and it's about a bunch of aspiring writers who have like a weeklyget together where they like share pages, and but the they're like thedushiest riters, like like the one guy, carries her on the Tabe corner idea fora commercial, I ideafor a character named John Every mal like one of those, no weum. Yes, the only role of the LYMAWriters' community is no dochiness OA, it's no. We have a great. We have a greattime with a great time, so it's a lot of fun. 'cause. Nowadays, Youv gotstuff like like, like through Amazon, where you can do that, like that selfpublishing thing actually have a friend of mine did that have Heve Er book onmyself back here, but she wrote it and then just put into whatever the Amazonthing is and they, when somebody orders it, they cut one out and Oha stuff like that, it's it's changedthe game it used to be. I think it used to be. I still think it's plenty hardfor creative nowadays. I think it's just changed the parts of the cravtingthat are hard. It used to be hard to get your stuff out there. Now it's Oo,you'R Goin t ever I rigtin notice the thing, and I I don't well. You may not fun factabout me M. I do I do some freelance editing. I've got a couple of authorson Reywink and Jason Newgent that I do Um. I do editing for in both of them Um. Oh my gosh. They write, Um, Theye, IE, so many different genres, but the Um the thing about Ri the thing about P te. Think about writing. MHM, whoever you are find an editor Bi aeter, becausethereare a lot of people that there are a lot of people, that self publish Um and don't you know they're like okay? Well, Icould add it myself. Well, it's good to have a second pair of eyes on on a page, because Um I've seen a lot of lot of stuff. What do we want to say? Um, very rough, well, dote, very roughperiod, so yeah, it's, I I'm lucky I've! I've got the authorsthat I had it for ar are great writers and it's Var, my work that I do forthem is very, very minimal. But you know editing. Writing is there's a a well placed comma eh'll save yourlife. You know the T, Oh yeah, so there's th,just it it's like leggings Um, just because they're one sized Fitsall doesnot mean you should wear them out in public Um. You know just just 'cause. He can dozzing. As a member of the heavy set community guy she's tellingthe truth tee', we know what we look good in.That's what mirrors exist every time I go out somewhere. I ask everybody: Likeflattering nough flattering tell me now 'cause. Otherwise, I'm going to wear itpost, UST o. It never hurts to have somebody else. You know and a worldfellow walmarts just dressed like you're, going to target. You Know TedoCreerlyn. We we can jokingly, call target targe and it sound fancier, there's no fun way to say Walmart to make it sound fancy. No you you justcan't you just can'. No, but nobody goes toWalmart is their first choice. You are rigin. This is not you go.That's you go to Walmart when you've tried everywhere else, even five, evenfive below didn't, have what you were looking for. I love five below so muchyeah it'sa great store, Yeah Walmer. I I I have to hate home Walmart, maybebecause maybe I'm jaded, because I work there. I don't know worst job I everhad and I worked at a dry cleaning plant in South Carolina in a hundredand ten degree summer and Walmart was the worst job Evermi. I, let's changetopics e Ber Tita, so...

...a mother of two adult children on paper, they're y they're, adults, yeah. How has- and we asked this of Dusty Harvey whenhe came on, because he you know in the time that I've known him he got marriednow, naughter and so having a child, because he was acomedian before he had the kid. There was opportunity for his approach tocomedy to change 'cause having a child being a first time. Dad Can Shift YarPerspective on life, how, as being a mom, especially to older children like how is that shapes like what youdo with your stand up or just as far as what 'cause you mention you're at thatpoint in your life now, where they're little more hands off in out you'refiguring yourself out Agai? How is your experience as a mother kind of playedinto that, though? Oh my God? Well? Well, I've Ha I've had twenty years of experience. You knowit's like Um, Oh God, the well one of one of my jokes is you knowlike Um I' Now that my kids are out of highschool. I don't have to worry about home schooling anymore. I didn't wantto home school. I wouldn't be good at home schooling, because Dooro the explorer would be my spanrog aure can't do homemack, because the bestthing I make are restaurant reservations m. You know with twochildren: If you're going to have a marching band show, all you can make isa coalon. You know things like that. So we, youknow, talk about all the things about PTA meatings and you know now or it'sit's changing a little bit. So you know. Oh there's, you know it's just it'sjust like a glorious mindfield of all kinds of wonderful things that you allyou have to do is look around. You can find something funny about everything. At's, it's perspective. You know you can look it's w. You look at the glass,it's either half full or half empty. You know, and you know it it's everything isperspective. You know it can either be wonderful or terrible. You it's theeyes that you look out of you. KNOWTHAT's we're deepyor the AR dowt.He dedstetidn deep as I've got cartoon characters plushhe's staring atme on my desk and it's Ri cat stickers over here 'cause, my sister's. You KnowSixteen but still very much fiveweare, it's true Oa Til Watch Crortensi, don'tcare! You Watch Cartis, Tho, watch cartoonwell! Why? When Whith you fave Hse, not a lot of good ones on right now, there's there's one that my brother andsister got me into an carton. Now we're called H, somethitg's opthing in the world ofgunball, Oh yeah. I remember that od bunny andorange yeah. I know what youre ti O it's dumb and R. It's it's the kind ofhumor I minsy right now, where it's a lot of just random stupidity, but I like with with movies, I tend to go forthe deeper heavier shit, and so when I'm watching some of their cartoon. Iwant something dumb that I can turn my brain off too and- and I find myself Iwhen I I I can't go to movies now that make me I don't want to see romanticmovies. I don't want to see like things that tug ut my heart, I wantna beeither scared or noone to laugh, my Assone, you K, O I want to be. I wantto be taken away from the world. I want to be totally entertained. So when Ithat's, I go for I like a really good, psychologically twisty movie. Thatblows my mind in the last two minutes Y. U I, like, I love those Ereditary, not yet hereditar. Not Yeti will neverbe able to unsee her R myary good. But when you ask me, you know you know, would you go to the movies by Yourselfi I almost have to if I want to see themovies that I want to see, because some of my friends don't have the same movie?Taste that I do so. If I want to see you know and a lot T my husband likesto watch the MOV H he's not much of a movie guy either. You know he he'llwatch a movie at home, but to go to the theater. I I almost prefer to go to the movies bymyself, because if it's I feel like Um, sometimes I feel like. If I invitesomebody to do something, I'm in charge of whether I have a good time or not.Oh Yeah. Oh you noit's like Oh, so if they hate it, it's all my fault yeah. You know I don't gagain therapy fodder. You know my therapist is like girl, T's, Ri, so yeah I so I like to go to the moviesby myself. So if, if it's something that didn' that I didn't like, then I'mthe only one to blame tri but but also you know, I like to go see the moviesthat are Kinda twisting and so 'm, I'm fine going by myself so yeah. Thatwould probably be one that I need to see myself. It's afucked obeautifullymade, but there's some stuff in that Moybie. You see whe you're, just kindalike I'll, never unsee that I I will...

...just randomly think of that at somepoint. In my day I mago away it's a fucked, U poor movie, but it's good I'vebeen watching a lot of W. I'm notmuch of a horror guy an in with, but I don't like the Um w you Kn W. I grew up in the eightieswith well the what was it when a stranger calls Theno one that is when Isaw that movie. I instantly stopped Ta Babysitting, Oh r, oh yeah, never B, Ijaws Daw, would Bei. EVERYJAWS was the reason why I never learned to dive atthe YMC A H. I know I never passed the little mendow swim class because I wasafraid that there was a shark going to be shock at the bottem of the Pol VeryReal, far Fr down Wul Cam. I Friday, the thirteenth Campcrusto Lake lookslike the Church camp that we went to so is slightly terrified not as being not of going to areligious call but scared. I was going to be hacked up, pre, nineteen, eighty, all the kids were like yeahbut. You know what I didn't have toworry about it, because you know I'm not very well endowed. I don't runthrough the forest in a bikini. I don't you know, didn't make out with anybody. So I I was going to Meke my anger if you're getting laid at that NAM- and Iwas ten- never did you know everyoneas always like. Would you Thurvive on ahord movie yeah, I'm not I'm not having sex ot anybody, Ai Shure, Nind, all thetime eeris going to caunt leave my cabin. I just I sit around and mind myown business and I hear a strange noise. I don't go investigate it. HELLWATS!What's wrong with these people, so behol ocase e power's out hat I'm goingto Getnakan, go, take shower oop. Sorry, I'm going to get in the car and lackthe doors Ohand, I'm Michael Myers, beorisinal,Horo, okay, so that movie, I I was ten. I was spending the night with with thisgirl Um, who was my friend from church? Well, her parents went away and herolder sister and brother took us to the movies and we went. They took us to seeHalloween and it was a packed theatere. We had to sit in the front, seet veryfront Ono. I had never seen a horror movie before and so I wholy Shit. So you know we go and I amtraumatized. You know from the very first scene in that movie and I think Iwas so scared because you know when I was ten all scarywell. I hadnever seen scary movie, but I think it was so scary because you think, okay, the bad guys o only come out at night. This is the first I mean Shshe's,looking out she's looking out of her high school window and he's standingthere on the sidewalk. Like that's the first place that I learned that badguy's come out during the day. Oh and my maiden name is Myers. Oh that's so Iwent to school and like O, Michael Myers, is your brother as Gonta obrother. So you know so we go home, we go home to their house after the movieand they had a double bed and I wanted to sleep in the middle and theywouldn't. Let me sleep in the middle, so I had to sleep on the edge and I'mlaying there and you know, timg to wake up, and I opened my eyes and theirbrother's face was like right. A scared me to D. I slept in my parents bed fora month after that, oh I still as an adolt. I want to watch that moviebecause I feel like I'm almost fifty, so I really need to conquer this fear, but I'm Afra. I spend so much time alone when my husband's working at I umthat H, I I don't know if I can watch it O, I'm a big chicken, but it scared me and I you Kno, I don'twant to watch any of the remakes of it everybody's like. Ah, you need to watchit. So I the new one was good 'cause. The new one was pretty good, it was. Itwas very remaniscent of the original I was O even I was in the theater. It waslike a Tuesday afternoon by myself, but it fitch black in the theater and thenat one point in the dark. You hear his his like heavy breathing and I was justlike God: Wa Grown Man, but N, no Wooh, my husband. He and he think all my family thinks it's funny to scare me, and so I hopethat he has really increased our life insurance because one of these timesthose three people t at live in my house are Gointo o give me a heartattack. They think it's hilarious. To scare me, I mean we, we went to aHalloween party a few years ago and he he had a hockey mask and so- and I was in the shower one day.You know washing my hair opend my eyes and he's got his face in the showerwith the hockey mouto scared me to death, so I hid the hockey mask, butthey all think it's so funny to scare me and Um, I'm terrifie to clowns andeverybody thinks that's the funniest shit. So on chance they get that'shere's a picture of a scary clan. No, it's not on. No, it's no funny! It's not funny the two times of my live. I've had a panic attack. It was clownrelated. It's not hat's, not throg. This, I will say I um. My parents arebig St. They were big, Stephen King...
